Classified back in the mid 1970's as the top of the line in quality, known as "Imperial Fire Agate", which is relatively 95% pure fire and no dead spots. These pieces were specially handpicked from the mines and carefully polished and shaped with painstaking effort to create the most amazing multicolored gemstones anywhere.

These pieces come from a variety of different mines in the Sierra Fria and Sierra del Lavrel mountain ranges of Calvillo in the state of Aguascalientes, México.
